Vila Real de Santo Antonio

First stop in Portugal. Just over the border in a motorhome area (car park) by the side of the Guardina river so that we could still see Spain across the other side of the river. Very much a tourist resort with lots of streets of bars and restaurants around the main square. Slightly strange parking area where you had to prebook 12 hour slots for electricity. It was very windy during our stay which always spoils things a little. Having to close the windows overnight is such a shame. On Sunday we cycled to the next town of Monte Gordo which had a number of huge hotels and was somewhat less appealing. We were told off by the Beach Police for taking our bikes on the boardwalk!
