Urmitz

Back to the Rhine and a busy stellplatz (€7 + metered water and electricity) on the edge of the river. If you get a front row you can sit and watch the huge barges going past, these barges strike me as a good way to move goods around. We came here to do Koblenz. The parking places in Koblenz where €30 odd a night and it was only 13K cycle ride. Koblenz is where the Mosel and the Rhine join. It has some nice areas to wander around, a palace gardens and 2 riverside promenades, but we ran out of time and didn’t get up to the fortress where the view is supposed to be really good. We did debate going back the next day but decided against it.
