Terracina

We moved to the coast to try and get warmer weather. It worked up up a point. It was warmer but we still got the five o’clock showers every day. We were on a campsite again (18€ a night with ACSI card) and the swimming pool was open but only heated by the sun so a bit chilly in May. The campsite was quite hemmed in by a busy main road making casual strolling outside the grounds a little unpleasant but it had its own beach and prom. On the Saturday we walked the shores of Lago di Fondi and saw a number of bee-eaters (a very pretty bird that I’ve never seen before). On the Monday morning we went for a quick dip in the pool before we left the site only to find that they were now charging 5€ a day to use the pool. Needless to say we didn’t go in.
