Stage 16 Greenhead to Steelrigg

This is a short day only 7.5 miles so we had breakfast a little later. It is a bit of a roller coaster day, up and down hilllocks otherwise an easy day. Navigation is easy, find the wall(Hadrian’s) and walk next to it. The sun came out today making this the warmest day so far. It is also a busy walk with other national paths and lots of tourists, which means you get car parks with toilets and picnic benches at regular intervals, nice luxuries.

Greenhead hotel, the best hotel yet. We had a suite with big roll top bath. Food was good and not too expensive. Milk was real. Service was good even through this was a commercial place.
