St Malo

· France

Drove from ferry to centre of St Malo in the dark and hail storm at 6:15 am. Had cup of tea and watched the sun come up. Walked to old town and around the wall. The brits blasted the wall to bits in order to liberate the French to find only 100 Germans left. Wall has since been rebuilt. Nice old town, cobbled streets and lots of bakeries selling very nice smelling pasty’s. We didn’t do the modern part of town.
