St Denis (Ils D’oleron)

Nicely located aire on the edge of the town. Municipal with a toilet and shower block that look like they are council kept. From here we did a 60K cycle ride around most of the island. We past through some pleasant places and as always the cycle tracks are extensive. Nicest place was La Cotiniere, where there were a couple of bars and restaurants over looking the port, this would have been so nice on a warm summers day, I just so wish I had a £1 for ever time I have said that over the last few week. If you ever come to Ils D’oleron do the Le Chateux but that has a page it’s itself. Unfortunately this is where the wire in the aircon unit melted and we had to move on to get the van looked at.
