Sierra Nevada

After a day at the Alhambra we set off for the campsite for which we had pre-booked and paid a deposit. We left Granada and carried on up the road. And up. And up … past the ‘altitude 1000m’ sign and still up. Eventually we arrived at the campsite where English was not known at all but eventually with sign language and Google Translate we got the message through. We paid for the balance for our two night stay and then the owner came over and looked at Bertie saying “No. Mucho granda”. We were too big for his pitches! So we spent two nights in the car park next to the toilet block. Not very private but not the end of the world. We spent the Saturday cycling in the mountains. An interesting experience and fantastic scenery. But we must take more water with us next time we got out for the afternoon in 30+ heat! Luckily we found a tap en route.
