The last stop. The end of the journey. Time to go home. We leave this afternoon (Sunday) on the long ferry journey to Portsmouth 🙁 It’s been quite an experience. We arrived in Santander on Thursday evening and we are staying on a small area on a marina about half an hour’s cycle ride from Santander. Santander is OK but not the best place we have seen. It has a cathedral and some nice buildings. And there’s a very pretty park with a fairly modern (early 20th century) royal palace. The walk along the quayside is good and very popular. But overall not quite up to the standard of many places we have seen – we’re probably just spoilt. So home. Until next year.
