We stopped on an aire next to the swimming pool. The aire is typical of a town aire. Parking bays are nice and large, and it overlooks the canal, but basically in town. The aire costs a totally of €8, of which optional electric was €4 and water €1. The centre is about 5 mins walk. Nice square in the centre, with ornate official buildings around it. A children’s carousel in the central square that you seem to always get in French towns. This really is just a stopping point on the way south. Nothing special to recommend it. Having said that the sports centre next to us is typically french, nice big pool, great looking ice rink and a few other things. French know how to do there sport centres, I so wish the Brits would learn from the French on this. Weather, wet and cold, rained most of the day and about 9C.
