We have been spoiled with the last few aires. This one read well, it’s in Reims national park and it is on the tourist route for the champagne trail. Like the drink this site just didn’t live up to expectations. It’s a new site, free, you can pay for an hour’s electricity at the service bourne but I’m not quite sure when you would do that? We chose a walk through the green areas on the map, through the trees, but it was so muddy and a clay surface that we quickly realised this was going to be an unpleasant walk. Also the sun had come out (hooray) but in the shade of the trees we were not getting the sun’s benefit. So we adjusted the route to the back lanes, only the back lanes were busy, so we abandoned that. We walked back though the village, this is a dormer village, it has a baguette vending machine and that is it. We needed bread so we used the machine, we got something that you could possibly call bread. Back at the van less than an hour after leaving it, we got the chairs out and laid back in the sun, listening to the birds (or not in my case as I fell asleep) . Today I voted by proxy for the first time. Lets hope that the next government manages to sort some of the issues that I think are important!
