Quend-Plage
· France
Big car park with small parking spaces, no room for table and chairs between the vans , but it was almost empty while we were here, so we had lots of space. 10 euros for parking, no electricity. It’s a short walk to the beach. The road leading to the beach is lined with ice cream shops, restaurants, bars, beach shops and amusements, it looks like so many small British resorts , but without the smell of fish and chips. People don’t eat sat on the walls in France, they sit in a restaurant. It does mean the gulls aren’t a problem. (We are English we sit on the seats and tuck into our sandwiches ). We cycled to the next few resorts, which were very similar. The beaches seem nice and sandy but the weather is still not playing at being summer, so I wasn’t tempted to swim. The beaches are backed by nice dunes, so this would be good walking area, but alas I still can’t walk too well.
