Porto

We stayed at the municipal campsite on the south side of the river, about a half hour bus ride from the centre of Porto. This meant basic conditions but a very reasonable price of 16.11€ a night for all four of us. Porto seemed to be quite a pleasant place to wander around. The city is on both sides of the river with steep hillside, narrow cobbled streets and old colourful buildings. No visit to Porto is complete without the obligatory tour of a Port cellar followed by tasting. We stayed in the city until quite late in the evening before getting an Uber home which cost a little over 6€, or 2€ cheaper than 4 bus fares. Then on Saturday we had to take Matt and James to the airport. Holiday over already 🙁
