Mondragone
· Italy
We stayed in a camping area that was by the sea. Due to ongoing works we were pushed in down the side of some scruffy semi permanent caravans. At €15 a night with dirty toilets and showers (€1) we only stopped the one night. The site was out of Mondragone on the coast road, this road is busy and lined with private beaches all which have their own car park, restaurant/bar and beach area. The road has no pavement and like most of this end of Italy it is paved with rubbish. The beach is dark colour sand but at least it was sand. Mondragone itself is like a lot of towns here, 4 or 5 story high blocks of apartments and on the main streets shops at the ground level of these apartment blocks. It was noisy, dirty and little to sell it. One night was enough in this place.
