Lisbon

We didn’t stop in Lisbon (see Costa da Caparica) but it deserves a pin post of it’s own. For a city I really liked it. Narrow cobbled streets, old fashioned rattly trams mingled in with masses of cars, squares and churches. Nice river front too and some old windy streets in the old town. Live Fado in the restaurants in the old town, generally lots of live. You could spend a lot longer here, and we did consider doing so, but we are not city people. It was nice to know Lisbon has more than the red cross hospital where I once spent 2 weeks stood outside intensive care.
