Ladenburg
· Germany
Ladenburg is a nice old town, lots of timber buildings around some nice squares. Its flat here with a nice river walk which we used for our running and walking.
Karl Benz lived for some of his life in Ladenburg and there is an old Benz factory that has been converted to a museum. Given it was a bit different we paid our due and wandered around old Benz cars for a few hours. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
Ladenburg is near Heidelberg and to there we cycled. It’s a pleasant enough town, too many shops and not enough old buildings in my opinion but nice for an afternoon. We did not pay for the castle that dominates the town and hence missed the main attraction.
