This stop was a quick overnight stop just a 2 hours drive from Zaragoza and a small village inland only a mile from the motorway. It was more to give us a break from travelling, we are heading for the coast and hopefully warmer weather. It’s a nice village with some historic buildings, the standard churches, a castle and some houses with covered walkways. We went for a short walk along the dried riverbed and took in the blossom that is colouring this part of Spain at the moment. Also did a 5K run around the farm tracks, nice countryside, if typically Spanish barren but with the aforementioned pink blossom. We had hoped to eat out while here to celebrate John’s Birthday of the day before but the restaurant was full. We couldn’t stock up on food as this was Sunday and the one shop was closed. My guess is that it didn’t have a good selection of items anyway. The aire is rather nice, set in pine trees with picnic table and barbecues . Only eight spots but free including electricity, can’t complain at that.
