Cascais

We stopped outside Cascais, in what I could not believe was possible, but it was a dearer campsite than the one at Costa da Caparica. This one at least had a swimming pool although we never used it. It was about €45, we are used to paying anything between €0 – €7 for a spot with electricity in Portugal. We didn’t pay for the electricity on this site, I have that sort of electric bill back home for my 4 bed roomed house. The beach here was nice, Atlantic so nice waves to play in, lots of surfers. Cascais is a popular resort and much like you would expect really. Big castle, beach, cobbled roads of shops. If you visit here go to the vegan restaurant, the experience of being served by a 60 year old hippy in a green cheese cloth dress has to be undertaken.
