Cabanes

First aire in Spain that we stopped on. Interestingly different from the French ones. No automated credit card taking barrier here, this has owners living on site and a loud lady coming round to collect fees (cash only) as you arrive. There was a rather dubious looking electric socket nearby laid on a piece of plywood on the ground. We connected to it and plugged in the circuit tester and it showed “No Earth”. The van does have an RCD breaker which should save us but nevertheless we weren’t too happy so walked the cable around to the upright hook-up a little further away and this time it passed. Although it did trip out an hour or so later. It was a 4A connection and we’d been on 4A before without any trouble. I think though it may have been 4A between half a dozen motorhomes! It was a very decent place and we cycled to Castello d’Empuries and also one evening cycled up into the nearby hills.
