On a proper campsite this time mainly due to the arrival of Matthew and James for a week. There aren’t too many campsites in Bordeaux and even fewer open before April. This was quite a small campsite about 40 minutes from the middle of Bordeaux via bus and tram. Bordeaux was pleasant enough but we felt we’d done it all after a couple of days and the weather was terrible. It did keep dry for a couple of hours one afternoon so we got to see some of the sites but on the whole it just kept on raining. The average daily high for March is 15C but this week I doubt if we’ve seen better than 12. As the campsite owner said “C’est exceptionelle”.
