Besalú
· Spain
Besalú is a lovely little town in the hills about half an hour from Girona. There is a bridge which dates from the 12th century and some very pretty buildings. The aire was just a car park but came at a very good price of totally free. There was a charge of 3€ for 1 hour of electricity or a water fill but we’d filled up before we left Cabanes and we can do 3 days without electricity quite easily. We had an interesting cycle ride to Banyoles Lake but the Spanish idea of a cycle path is not always cyclable.
