Barbantes

So – back into Spain as we start to head towards Santander and our ferry back at the end of the month. First stop was in a thermal spring area near the town of Barbantes. This was in the middle of nowhere but when we arrived on a hot Sunday afternoon was very busy with the locals. It is an allocated motorhome area but was full of cars and so we didn’t get parked up until evening when the locals started going home. All services including electricity was included in the price of 0€ which takes some beating. It was very quiet once everyone had gone home though (we were the only van there on one of the three nights we stopped). We even got the kayak out for only the second time on the trip and paddled up the river.
