My expectations were too high, this is on the edge of Snowdonia national park and I expected another wow site, instead it was just a really nice site. Another Camping and Caravanning Club site. We cycled and walked and found some really stunning places. We walked into the hills and negotiated bogs, we cycled high bleak moors (something I love), did woods along with numerous lakes and reservoirs. In a fit of madness I booked us on the Ffestiniog railway, mad because it was a 50K cycle ride each way so we got up early and off we cycled. (We don’t move the van between sites normally so we cycle or walk everywhere). I love steam trains and although this is not the full majestic sized train, it was a wonderful day out. The weather has been awful, cold and wet more in line with March than May. No van disasters this time, just the worry of knowing our son is having to sit in air raid shelters while Israel and Palestine bomb each other over his head.
