We came here as we had really liked the place last year and it’s not far from home. We have had our wings clipped a bit as we are expecting a Ukraine family to move in, so we can’t go away for any length of time. The site is in the middle of nowhere. It has only basic clean water, grey and black emptying but that is fine by us. The weather was good to us. We did a nice long 16 mile walk, first decent walk for a while, one that actually included hills. We did the first 6 miles as quickly as we could since we had decided that a pub we had been recommended by my brother was our lunch stop, but of course we set of late. Pub was good. We also went to Crich tram museum. We did the guided walk which showed us various street lamps, trams and toilet vents, the bloke who did the tour was so into his subject it was hard not to catch his enthusiasm. 5 days is too short for a trip but very enjoyable. We may have brought back more than we bargained for in the form of the Sars-cov-2 virus, but that may have been the next trip.
