Alessandria

We stopped in public car park with services on the edge of town and next to a busy road. The main purpose of this stop was to meet a friend and ex-work colleague. He took us to the old fort, as always in Italy run down, apparently they had EU funding granted to do it up, but they didn’t get their act together so it is still in a state of dilapidation. It did have a little playground so Agnese could stretch her legs. He also treated us to a meal at a very nice restaurant. Big thankyou to Emanuele, Aida and Agnese for the evening. The next day we looked around the cemetery, think about a huge 60’s multi-storey carpark, that is basically what the cemetery looks like.
