We made the decision, Europe in a motor home for 2 year. We had a few decisions to make.
- how will we live day to day – this is now the only stumbling block. To pay for everything I need to work, but will my boss let me work from a motorhome somewhere in Europe? A post will come late December which will be all systems go, or STOP, what do we do now.
– what do we do with the house? Well this depends on 1 but we know about renting the house out ( we have got the house ready for this option, 3 set of bathroom/ensuites replaced, carpets replaced, most walls repainted, we have been very busy!), we know how much it costs to leave it empty, we know how much it will cost to leave youngest son in charge, (the current plan), we’ve considered how to rent the house out and to who. We know how much it will go on the market for if we have to sell it. We know about storage for furniture. We know the law on being homeless. You’ve got the idea.
– where do we go? Easy to solve, where ever we feel like it on a day to day basis. There will be no plan.
– what sort of motor home? There is a bewildering array of vans, but it’s fun looking/reading up for the first 100 hours.
– what will we do with the Koi fish? Depends on 1, we really don’t have an answer yet on this one.
– how to do MOT’s on vans and us? You will be seeing us back at lease once a year to visit dentist, opticians, and the motorhome service centre
– how to deal with the legalities of a tour? After hours on the phone to HRMC etc and we know the legal status, but the solution depends on, you have guessed it, number 1
– can we leave our loved ones? Sleepless nights on this, but if the worst comes to the worst and the loved ones need attention we come home.
